A regional workshop was held in Chad between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the G5 Sahel countries, which included Chad, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali, with the attendance of Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim, CEO of the Islamic Chamber Holding Company.
The workshop focused on ways to develop microfinance and its projects through the implementation of Islamic finance mechanisms. It also aimed to explore prospects for economic empowerment and to support community development, especially for vulnerable groups. Additionally, the workshop addressed the enhancement of women’s empowerment as a means to achieve balanced development in the region.
